Thomas Hoffmann leads the operations of aircraft engine overhaul at Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA). LTAA is the Center of Excellence within the Lufthansa Technik Group for engines of regional aircrafts and business jets. Since 2008, he is responsible for engineering and production, leading roughly 400 engineers and mechanics to overhaul more than 400 engines per year and serve more than 130 customers on-site. As an MBA student at Ashridge Management College in London, Thomas was introduced to TOC, and finally had the chance 12 years later to successfully implement these principles with the support of Goldratt Consulting. Thomas also holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany and was a research engineer at the combustion labs at Arizona State University. He lives with his son and wife near Frankfurt.
